Norfolk Building Permits up $14.5 Million

NORFOLK - The positive news for construction in the city of Norfolk continues this month.  Last month, City Prevention Manager Trent Howard reported a 2,000 percent increase in building permits compared with the year before.  Tuesday, Howard presented the November building permit report to the Norfolk Planning Commission, saying construction permits are $14.5 million ahead of this point last year.  Howard says the report includes permits for 11 single family homes and one duplex along with other additions and remodeling.  Howard says winter weather will slow things doewn a little, but there is still a lot of interest in new construction in the city.
