No Relief For Drought Yet

UNDATED - The Corn Belt area of the country remains in extreme or exceptional drought conditions. Nebraska State Climatologist Al Dutcher says that dry trend is likely to continue. Dutcher says this fall may be a bit cooler than first predicted, and what we can expect this winter is a bit difficult to forecast. He says recent upper air patterns brought moisture to the eastern part of the US and cooler temperatures. Sixty-five percent of the US is in some form of drought condition, with more than 73 percent of Nebraska in an area of exceptional drought.
