Newcastle Man Killed in Dixon County Accident
PONCA - A 48-year-old Newcastle man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 12 in Dixon County Friday morning. The Dixon County Sheriff's Office reports that Brian Chase was a passenger in a car that left the road and struck a tree head on. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 43-year-old Alison Clickenger, was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City by Mercy Air Care. The accident, which occurred three miles west of Newcastle, was investigated by the Dixon County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol. The Sheriff's Office reports that seat belts were not in use.
