NECC Grads Having Little Trouble Finding Jobs

NORFOLK - Northeast Community College continues to educate  students who are widely sought-after following graduation.  Northeast’s Director of Career Services, Terri Heggemeyer says her office interviewed all but 14 of the college’s 787 graduates in the Class of 2013.  She says 97 percent have either found jobs or are continuing their educations.  Of those that found jobs, 83 percent are working in their fields of study.  Heggemeyer says 88 percent of the graduates remained in Nebraska, while 64 percent stayed in Northeast’s 20-county service region.  Northeast’s President, Dr. Michael Chipps says workforce Development Training is the college’s top priority.  Heggemeyer presented her report during last week’s meeting of the college’s Board of Governors.
