NECC Enrollment Down
The Northeast Community College Board of Governors has accepted the FTE/REU Enrollment Audit Report for the 2011-2012 year. At Thursday’s meeting of the Board, Vice President of Administrative Services Lynn Koski shared the report on Full Time Equivalent students. Koski says some of the reasons for the decline in enrollment are last year’s flooding that caused closing of the South Sioux City campus for several months, attrition between freshman and sophomore year, and an improvement in the economy which allowed students to start their education at a four-year institution instead of the community college. Koski says enrollment management is one of the college’s top eight priorities for the coming year.
