Nebraska Secretary of State wants to improve voter registration process

NORFOLK - Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale says his office has conducted several studies over the past year and has come up with a series of three categories that he’s combined into what he calls an election package.   The first of the three is entitled  “Get ready, get registered.”  Gale says 200-to-300-thousand Nebraskans need to update their voter registration information every two years. The other two categories deal with voter integrity and vibrant democracy.  Gale says his office is re-designing the voter registration form to be more user-friendly, and he’ll ask the State Legislature to pass a bill to allow for on-line registration.
