Nebraska reports jump in tax incentive deals
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Department of Revenue has reported a big jump in tax incentive agreements. The department signed more agreements with companies last year than it did in 2010 and 2011 combined. The Nebraska Tax Incentives 2012 report to the Legislature says 58 companies signed agreements in 2012, nearly four times the total of 15 in 2011. There were 40 signed agreements in 2010 and 2011 combined. State Tax Commissioner Doug Ewald says the 58 agreements set an annual record for agreements signed since the Nebraska Advantage Act took effect in 2006.
