Nebraska hunters can donate deer carcasses to help feed hungry

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Hunters may begin donating their deer to the Hunters Helping the Hungry program on Sunday.  Nebraska Game and Parks has contracted with meat processors across the state including: the Country Butcher of Humphrey and Melcher's Locker of Lindsay.  The program combines cash donations and donated deer to produce ground venison distributed to Nebraskans in need.  Learn more about the program at OutdoorNebraska.org/HHH.
