Miss America Returns To Nebraska
SCOTTSBLUFF (AP) - Miss America Teresa Scanlan received keys to two cities and shared insights into her faith as she returned home to Nebraska. Scanlan told students at Community Christian School in Scottsbluff on Wednesday that they should dream big and not be afraid to be different. Her brother Adam attends the school. At a news conference, Scanlan thanked the people of Scottsbluff and Gering for their support. Scanlan was raised in Gering and graduated from high school in Scottsbluff. She's also scheduled to make appearances on Friday in North Platte and Saturday in La Vista. Scanlan won the Miss America title last month, the first Miss Nebraska to do so.
