Michigan Avenue project nears completion

NORFOLK - After more than three months, Norfolk residents who live on Michigan Ave. are about to get their street back. At Monday night’s meeting of the Norfolk City Council, Public Works Director Dennis Smith told the mayor and council that the contractor has poured the last of the concrete for sidewalks and that the project is nearly finished. Smith says the street is open for residents and should be open to through traffic next week. He says all contractors have left is some minor sodding work, to set up some sprinkler systems and to clean up.
