Memorial Services Planned for Bank Murder Victims

NORFOLK - It was 10 years ago tomorrow that one of the bloodiest bank robberies in modern history took place in Norfolk, claiming the lives of five people and putting three men on Nebraska's death row. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning at the U.S. Bank Memorial Park at the corner of South 13th Street and Pasewalk Avenue to reflect and remember the victims - Lola Elwood, Sam Sun, Lisa Bryant, Jo Mausbach and Evonne Tuttle. The public is invited to attend, and to share refreshments after the service at Christ Is King Community Church, 715 Madison Avenue. The Norfolk Ministerial Association will host the memorial service.
