Man suspected in Omaha killings jailed in Illinois
MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (AP) - An Indiana doctor remains jailed without bond in southern Illinois on suspicion of involvement in the killings of three adults and an 11-year-old boy in Nebraska. Authorities say 40-year-old Dr. Anthony Garcia of Terre Haute, Ind., was arrested Monday during a traffic stop in Illinois' Union County, some 100 miles southeast of St. Louis. He's being held in neighboring Jackson County on suspicion of four Nebraska counts of first-degree murder and four counts of using a weapon to commit a felony. Omaha's police chief says Garcia appeared to be intoxicated and had a .45-caliber handgun when he was arrested by Illinois State Police.
