Man Arrested after Scuffle at Local Restaurant

NORFOLK - A disturbance at a Norfolk restaurant led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Norfolk man for driving while intoxicated and other charges. Police Chief Bill Mizner says Bradley Skalberg was arrested shortly after 6 p.m. last (Tuesday) night after getting into an altercation with another man at Franklin's Bistro at 904 Riverside Boulevard. Mizner says both men were issued warnings for trespassing, and warned not to drive because both appeared to be intoxicated. Mizner says Skalberg then started his vehicle and allegedly struggled with officers when they tried to arrest him, kicking one of the officers and grabbing the other's sidearm. Skalberg was booked into the city jail for obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest, second offense drunk driving and refusal to submit to both a preliminary breath test and a chemical test. He was released later on bond.
