Madison County commissioners to interview public defender candidates

MADISON -  The Madison County Board of Commissioners is set to meet Tuesday morning to interview candidates to fill the remainder of the Madison County Public Defender's term.   The current holder of the position, Melissa Wentling turned in her letter of resignation in June.  Her last day on the job will be Friday, July 26th.  Four area lawyers have applied for the position: Charles Balsigner, Matthew Headley, Timothy Matas and Kyle Melia.  The public defender’s term expires in January of 2015.  The meeting and interviews are set to begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the commissioners’ meeting room at the Madison County Courthouse.
