Low Wages a Concern in Nebraska

Economic security for Nebraska families is the key to making the state great - but too many Nebraska families are struggling despite working hard. Kate Bolz is the director of Low-Income Economic Opportunity for the Appleseed Center. She says a recent Nebraska Economic Opportunity Scorecard found low wages to be a concern in the state. Bolz says the survey also found that one in three children in Nebraska is growing up in a low-income working family. She says the state's tax system should be changed to better reward work and support families with children.
