Local Trooper Named Employee of the Year

NORFOLK - A member of the Nebraska State Patrol Troop B area was recognized recently as the sworn officer of the year.  Troop B Captain Paul Hattan says Bill Price, a 24-year veteran of the state patrol who lives in O’Neill, was honored last week at a ceremony in the Rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol.  Price serves as the Troop B Community Service Officer and has a direct impact on the safety of Nebraska citizens. Hattan says that, by developing and implementing programs aimed at young adults, Price works tirelessly to raise awareness and save lives by reducing the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes.  Trooper Price also coordinated a display of Nebraska State Patrol history at the Elkhorn Valley Museum in Norfolk. He initiated the program “Ask A Trooper” on WJAG and was a regular guest on the show. His voice can also be heard on many public service announcements on radio stations throughout the Troop B area.
