Judge Stoffer Named Presiding Judge for 2013
LINCOLN - Madison County Judge Ross Stoffer has been named the County Court Presiding Judge for the 7th Judicial District, which includes Antelope, Cuming, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton and Wayne counties. The Nebraska Supreme Court approved the nomination of Judge Stoffer for 2013. His name was submitted by his fellow county court judges for the leadership position. Stoffer currently serves on the county court-juvenile bench and on the Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Drug Court in Madison County. As presiding judge, he will oversee the delivery of county court services within his judicial district. He will also serve as the liaison to agencies of local and state government for the courts of the district and to the Nebraska State Bar Association and the media. Judge Stoffer will also be responsible for overseeing personnel matters for the district and providing county courts with direction in matters of local district policy. Stoffer was appointed to the bench in the 7th District in 2006 after many years in private law practice in Norfolk.
