Injured Football Player Making Progress
LINCOLN - A Pierce High School football player, who suffered a brain injury in a game a week ago Friday night, is making progress. Scott Dvorak, the father of Shelton Dvorak said Friday his son walked on his own in the hallways of Lincoln's Madonna Rehabilitation Center. Dvorakt says his son is aware of what's going on, but can't remember much of what happened to him in the days after the game. His mother, Charlene, tells WJAG NEWS Shelton will go through intensive therapy starting Monday. He is currently wearing a protective helmet following surgery, probably for the next couple of weeks. But in true Bluejay spirit, the school mascot is on the helmet's sides. To learn more about Shelton Dvorak's progress, go on line to caringbridge.org.
