Information Sought In Area Cold Case Murder

WEST POINT (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol is focusing renewed attention on a 13-year-old unsolved murder in northeast Nebraska. A patrol news release this week says the body of Jeanne Kassebaum, 54, was discovered by family members in the bathtub of her West Point home on Aug. 21, 1999. Initially, her death was ruled an accident, until an autopsy determined she had been strangled. Nebraska State Patrol Investigator Melanie Lueders says the patrol believes there are "still people out there who know more about what happened the night she died."
