Heat Advisory For Eastern Nebraska

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - The National Weather Service is warning that a combination of temperature and humidity will raise the heat index as high as 110 in eastern Nebraska and most of southern Iowa. A heat advisory says temperatures this afternoon are expected to reach the mid-90s, with dew points into the upper 70s. The warning expires at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. CDT, depending on location. The service is warning people to wear light and loose-fitting clothes and to drink plenty of water.
