Hearing Delayed for Shooting Suspect

MADISON - A LaVista law firm will be representing the defendant in a Norfolk shooting case – the third lawyer to be involved in the defense of Jordan Beehn. The 28-year-old Beehn is accused of shooting 28-year-old Jorge Alberto Zepeda-Flores outside of Club Hollywood in downtown Norfolk last November. Beehn was first represented by Norfolk attorney Charles Balsiger and then by the Madison County Public Defender’s staff. On Thursday, Craig Martin of the McCarthy Martin Law firm in LaVista appeared with Beehn, asking for a delay in pre-trial hearings. Beehn waived his right to a speedy trial and remains in the Madison County Jail on bond of $975,000. His next court appearance is set for August 30th.
