Hartington Wins Class C-2 State One-Act Title for Third Straight Year
NORFOLK - Another Northeast Nebraska school has won state championship honors in the State High School One-Act competition at the Johnny Carson Theatre. Hartington Public has won the Class C-2 state title for the third straight year. Linda Kathol and A.J. Johnson co-directed “The Perils of Lulu.” Pawnee City finished as runner-up, while West Point Guardian Angels was third. Chase Grizzle of Pawnee City and Hartington’s Savannah Scoville were honored as outstanding male and female performers respectively. The Class C-1 Championship plays are are Thursday afternoon at the Johnny Carson Theatre. Wisner-Pilger presents “Oz” at 5:00. Class B takes the stage tomorrow morning. Pierce will perform “After Midnight, Before Dawn” at 11:30. Then the curtain goes up on Class A in the afternoon. Norfolk Senior High presents “The Diviners” at 2:45.
