Hagel supports President's call for US, Russia to reduce nuclear stockpiles

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel says President Obama's call to reduce the country's nuclear arsenal by a third comes after two years of study.  Hagel told an audience at the University of Nebraska-Omaha that STRATCOM leaders at Offutt Air Force Base participated in the study of the size and mission of the country's nuclear forces.  Hagel says he strongly supports the president. At a speech in Berlin earlier this week, Obama stated that he would enter negotiations with Russia to reduce the nuclear stockpile both countries maintain.
