Hagel Endorses Kerrey; Not Looking for Cabinet Position
NORFOLK - Former Nebraska United States Senator Chuck Hagel fires back at Republicans critical of his endorsement of Democrat Bob Kerrey in the U.S. Senate race. Hagel, a Republican, has endorsed Kerrey over fellow Republican Deb Fischer. Hagel dismisses suggestions by Senator Mike Johanns that Hagel is angling for a cabinet post should President Obama win re-election. Hagel is serving as chairman of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board. He says he has turned down invitations for senior-level government positions.
