GOP Senate hopefuls Osborn, Sasse make Norfolk stops

NORFOLK - Two of the four Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate were in Norfolk yesterday.  Former State Treasurer and Norfolk native Shane Osborn and Midland University President Ben Sasse are seeking the seat being vacated by Sen. Mike Johanns, who is not seeking re-election.  Both candidates said they were dismayed by the stalemate in Washington that has resulted in the furlough of thousands of federal government workers.  Osborn, a former Navy pilot expressed concern about the dangers America's enemies present to the contry and its allies.  Sasse said Affordable Care Act is "a disaster" that needs to be repealed.  The other two GOP Senate hopefuls are attorney Bart McCleay and Pinnacle Bank President Sid Dinsdale.
