Fund Set Up for Family Who Lost Home in Fire

NORFOLK - A fund has been set up at an area bank for a Norfolk family who lost its home and all of its possessions in a fire early Friday morning.  Donations for the family of Alex and Sarah Wurdinger may be left at any branch of the Elkhorn Valley Bank in Norfolk.  Checks should be made out to the "Sarah and Alex Wurdinger Fire Donation Account."  The Wurdinger family consists of three adults and six children, including a set of newborn twins.  The Wurdinger home was located on Ridge Road about 11 miles northeast of Norfolk.  About 45 firefighters from several departments fought the blaze beginning at 1:00 a.m. Friday.  No financial estimate is available for the damage, but the structure is considered to be a toral loss.
