Free child ID kits available Saturday

NORFOLK - Though many are recovered quickly, each year in America, an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing.  If that should happen to your child, having a pre-packaged set of information about your child to hand to law enforcement could go a long way toward helping authorities find them.  The consumer financial services firm Check N’ Go is teaming up with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to hand out free Child ID kits Saturday at Aaron's in the parking lot at 2305 Krenzien Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..  Check N’ Go’s Scott Sednak says his company has 500 kits.  Check N' Go officials will take photos of children get their finger prints.  The kit also contains information you can share with you’re your children to help keep them safe.  Sednak says there’s no age limit, but that the main target is children up to about the second grade.
