Four Injured in Stanton County Accident
STANTON - Four area young people were injured last night in a single vehicle rollover accident northeast of Stanton. Sheriff Mike Unger says the accident occurred about 11 last night 10 miles northeast of Stanton on 844th Road. 23-year-old Anthony Ahlman of Wayne was the driver of the Ford Explorer that left the county road and entered the north ditch. Unger says the vehicle hit an embankment and rolled onto its top about 20 yards off the roadway and 40 feet down the embankment. Ahlman and three teenage passengers were taken to Faith Regional Hospital. 18-year-old Megan Kocmich of Norfolk was ejected from the vehicle, while Ahman, 17-year-old Brandon Carpenter of Wisner and 17-year-old Halle Hoehne of Stanton were restrained by seatbelts. Unger believes seatbelt use lessened the severity of the injuries.
The vehicle is a total loss.
