Four DUI Arrests in Norfolk over Holiday Weekend
NORFOLK - Norfolk Police arrested four individuals for driving under the influence over the New Year’s holiday. Captain Michael Bauer says Casey Faulk, 21, of Norfolk was arrested in connection with a hit and run accident at 9:37 p.m. New Year’s Eve in the 500 block of North 14th Street. Faulk is also accused of taking the car involved in the accident without the owner’s permission. He was arrested for first offense driving under the influence, theft and leaving the scene of an accident. At 2:08 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Bauer says officers were called to 108 North 4th Street where residents had reported a vehicle with a revving engine and a man slumped over the steering wheel. David Minnick, 57, was arrested for 4th offense driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .15. And at 7:55 Wednesday evening, Bauer says officers were called to 601 South 25th Street for another hit and run accident. Witnesses described the run vehicle, gave a license plate number and reported that the man driving the vehicle at the time of the accident had switched places with a female passenger. Michael Fox, 28, of Norfolk was arrested for third offense driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test and obstruction of a police officer. He was also cited for leaving the scene of an accident. The woman, identified as Connor Ferrin, 20, of Fremont, was also arrested for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a preliminary test. All four drivers were initially taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
