Foul Play Not Suspected in Death of Hoskins Man

MONDAMIN, IA - Authorities say there are no signs of foul play in the death of a Hoskins man whose body was found Saturday in western Iowa, but they also don’t know why 52-year-old Michael Gnirk was in the Mondamin area.  An investigator with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says Gnirk’s pickup was found abandoned about a mile-and-a-half from where his body was found by a hunter on Saturday.  Gnirk was identified when his fingerprints were run through an FBI database. The DCI is asking that anyone who had contact with Gnirk in the past three to six months call them at 712-322-1585.
