Fortenberry not a fan of House Farm Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jeff Fortenberry calls the process used to approve a stripped-down version of the Farm Bill as ”fiasco.”  Fortenberry says the House missed an opportunity to approve a bill with real reform on both the farm and food stamp sides when it rejected the initial Farm Bill last month.  That led to House Republican leadership pushing through a bill that contained only agricultural policy amid angry protests by Democrats.  Fortenberry says the method used by leadership will make it difficult for House negotiators to force concessions from the Senate.
