Fortenberry Concerned About Border Situation
NORFOLK - Members of both the U-S Senate and House of Representatives began their summer recess last Friday with much business still on the table. If Nebraska 1st District congressman Jeff Fortenberry had his way, Congress would not have adjourned without acting on border legislation. Fortenberry has proposed three measures: send the National Guard to the border to assist the border patrol; provide resources to help repatriate children with their families in a humane way; and work with the Central American countries to bring an end to the dangerous situation. Fortenberry was in Norfolk Tuesday visiting with constituents.
