Five Injured In Near Head-On Collision

NELIGH - Five people suffered injuries Wednesday morning in a two car collision on Highway 275 two miles east of Neligh. The Nebraska State Patrol reports an eastbound car, driven by Michael Ford, 24, of Atkinson, and an westbound SUV, driven by Thomas Brandt, 58, of Norfolk, collided nearly head-on around 8:35 a.m. A passenger in Ford's car, Dawn Stickney, 37, of Atkinson, was flown by medical helicopter to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Her condition is unavailable. Ford, Brandt and two others passengers in the SUV, Amber Amick, 37, and Scott Bundy, 21, both of Norfolk, were all treated and released for their injuries at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh.
