First Rain In Weeks Falls On The Area

NORFOLK - It wasn't much rain, but it was still significant. The .05 that fell overnight in downtown Norfolk at the WJAG studios and the .11 at the airport was the first measurable rain this area has seen in weeks. The Pierce area picked up .70. The National Weather Service did issue a severe thunderstorm warning for seral counties across portions of north central and northeast Nebraska. Gusty winds of up to 60 miles per hour were common across the area. No significant damage, other than some tree limbs down, were reported.
