Farm Show Begins Wednesday

NORFOLK - The 27th Annual Northeast Nebraska Farm and Equipment Show gets underway Wednesday at 9 a.m. More than 130 vendors, live demonstrations, and free health screenings highlight the two-day event.  Seminars are planned throughout both days.  Wednesday: 10:30 a.m:, Al Dutcher, State Climatologist, "Weather Risks for 2014"; 12:30 p.m.: Dr. Brad Lubben, UNL Extension Policy Specialist, "Farm Bill Deliberations"; 2:30 p.m.: Wade Johannes, Commodity Risk Manager, "Crop Insurance and Marketing."  Thursday: 10:30 a.m.: Tim Lemmons, UNL Extension Educator, "Agricultural Land Prices and Cash Rent"; 12:30 p.m.: Bill Price, Nebraska State Patrol Trooper, "Farm Safety and DOT Regulations"; 2 p.m.: Josh Cheatle, Farm Bureau Life and Investment Specialist, "Estate and Business Planning."  The Farm Show runs from 9j to 5 Wednesday and 9 to 4 Thursday, and is sponsored by NewsTalk WJAG and 106KIX.
