Elgin Man Arrested for DUI, Concealed Weapon
NORFOLK - A 61-year-old Elgin man has been arrested for second offense driving under the influence and carrying a concealed weapon. Norfolk Police Captain Michael Bauer reports that Thomas Eischeid was stopped for speeding about 1:15 this morning in the 100 block of East Omaha Avenue. The officer arrested Eischeid at that time for second offense drunk driving with a blood alcohol level above .15, and for refusing a chemical breath test. The officer also found an unsheathed long bladed knife under the driver's seat, leading to the concealed weapon charge.
