Day Of Remembrance At Norfolk Reg. Center
NORFOLK - The Nebraska of Health and Human Services held a moment of silence in honor of people buried in cemeteries at the state's three regional centers. The observance was held at 10:10 this morning and coincides with World Mental Health Day. Lisa Sullivan, a peer specialist with Region 4 Behavioral Health System in Norfolk, tells WJAG NEWS it's a way to restore dignity and respect to these people. Records maintained by the Nebraska Historical Society show there are 523 people buried at the two cemeteries at the Norfolk Regional Center.
