Dana Carvey Video to be Shown at Comedy Fest

NORFOLK - Those attending the Thursday and Friday evening performances of this week's Great American Comedy Festival in Norfolk are in for a special treat.  Longtime comedian and actor Dana Carvey will be featured in a video filmed especially for the Norfolk festival in which he pays tribute to the late Johnny Carson.  Carvey, who was a longtime cast member of "Saturday Night Live" and starred in the "Wayne's World" movies, was known for his impersonation of Carson.  It was created out of his fondness for the longtime "Tonight Show" host.  Mark Pitta, one of the 20 comedians who will be participating in this week's "Great American Comedy Festival presented by Nucor" produced the video.  The Thursday and Friday performances will also feature last year's winner Phil Palisoul and headliner Caroline Rhea, along with 10 comedians each night competing in the professional stand-up competition.  For more information or to purchas tickets, go to GreatAmericanComedyFestival.com.
