Creston Family Injured in Stanton County Crash

STANTON - A Thursday afternoon crash in Stanton County sent a Creston family to the hospital. Sheriff Mike Unger says Joseph Fisher, 21, of rural Creston was northbound on 559th Avenue about four miles north of Creston at 1 p.m. Thursday when he encountered deer on the roadway. Fisher swerved to avoid the deer and lost control of his vehicle. It entered the east ditch and rolled onto its top. Fisher and his passengers, Rebecca Preister, 24, and a one-month old infant boy, were taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk to be checked for injuries. Unger says seatbelts were in use at the time of the accident.
