Cowboy Trail Closure
NORFOLK - The Cowboy Trail has been closed from Norfolk to O'Neill until a flood-ravaged bridge is replaced and repairs are made to various sections of the trail. Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Trails Coordinator Duane Westerholt tells 106KIX NEWS the entire stretch from Norfolk to O'Neill isn't damaged, but it was simply easier to close the entire section rather than limit access in certain areas and keep the rest of it open. A 123-mile section of the trail from O'Neill to Valentine remains open.
