Council Gives Blessing for Central Park Project to Move Forward

NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council has given its blessing for representatives of the Norfolk Arts Center, Norfolk Junior High School and other organizations to move forward with their plans to renovate Central Park. The Arts Center's Program Coordinator Melinda Kozel presented the Council with updated concepts for a flower garden, the stage renovation and a mural to be painted on the side of the restroom building by renowned Omaha artist Gerard Pefung. A native of Cameroon, Pefung would work with Norfolk Junior High Art Students to arrive at a concept for the mural.
