Congressman Fortenberry hosts town hall meeting
NORFOLK - Approximately 90 constituents turned out Wednesday in Norfolk to meet with First District Congressman Jeff Fortenberry. Fortenberry started the meeting with an overview of the national budget. He says the nation’s nearly $17-trillion debt has both economic security and national security consequences. Fortenberry says he is concerned about the philosophical divide that appears to be tearing the nation apart and which he says is evident in the halls of Congress. Fortenberry also fielded questions on health care reform, farm policy, the federal reserve system and taxing internet sales.
