College Budgets Given Tentative Approval

NORFOLK - Tentative approval has been given to the budgets at Northeast Community College. The action was taken Thursday afternoon by the school's board of governors. The general operating budget of $35.4 million dollars is up slightly compared to last year's $34.9 million dollar document. Vice President of Administrative Services Lynne Koski says there could be changes before the budget public hearing in September, but she hopes it's only minor. She says the capital improvement budget is down considerably from last year. She says that's attributed to the completion of the J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing in Norfolk and the College Center in South Sioux City.
