CNBC ranks Nebraska in top five for business climate

LINCOLN -  Nebraska ranks in the top five among states in a national ranking for business climate.  CNBC ranks Nebraska fourth in its latest poll. South Dakota ranks first with North Dakota coming in third.  Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman says the ranking demonstrates the strides the state has made, but says more work needs to be done.  The governor says the ranking reflects a state economy that keeps growing, and keeps adding to the state's coffers.  Nebraska has the second lowest unemployment rate in the country, at 3.8 percent.  Just released state tax receipts disclosed the state cash reserve has swelled to $679 million, the largest cash reserve in the state's history.
