Clearwater Man Arrested for Possession of Meth

NORFOLK - A 53-year-old Clearwater man was arrested in Norfolk over the weekend for possession of a controlled substance. Police Captain Mike Bauer reports that Lawrence Ernesti Junior was arrested at 10:21 Saturday night in the 1400 block of Hendricks Avenue. Bauer says Ernesti was a passenger in a car stopped by an officer, and the officer witnessed Ernesti tossing a small plastic baggie on the ground. The substance in the baggie field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Ernesti was arrested for possession of meth, taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
