City votes to extend insurance contract with LARM
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council has voted to extend its contract with the League Association of Risk Management – or LARM – for another three years. At a recent meeting, city staff recommended the extension, setting the current contract length at four years. Last year, the city requested bids for insurance, contemplating ending its long-term agreement with LARM, but local insurance carriers were unable to under-bid the cooperative insurance pool that includes cities and villages across the state. Former Norfolk City Administrator Mike Nolan is the executive director of LARM.
