City Property Tax Down Slightly

NORFOLK - Norfolk homeowners will see a slight decrease in the property tax asking necessary to fund the city budget. At this week's City Council meeting, City Finance Officer Randy Gates said the city is able to meet increasing costs without a property tax rate increase because of increases in valuation, higher sales tax receipts and more revenue from a lease agreement with Nebraska Public Power District.
