City Council Eliminates Parking Spaces Near City Office
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council has voted to ban parking immediately north of the east entrance to the city office parking lot at 309 North 5th Street. At this week’s meeting, Police Captain Don Miller explained that the Police Division ahs received complaints about visibility for those leaving the city office parking lot. City Administrator Shane Weidner says there is sufficient parking in the parking lot for city employees, city customers and even for some of the employees of the businesses across 5th Street from the city office. Mayor Sue Fuchtman agreed with the action, saying she had experienced the visibility problems on several occasions when leaving the city office.
