City Council Approves the Purchase of Equipment
NORFOLK- The Norfolk City Council has given approval to the purchase of a brush truck and side mount engine fire truck with a total price of about $453-thousand. At last night's meeting of the Mayor and City Council, Fire Chief Scott Cordes explained that the purchase would be fully funded by proceeds from the Rural Fire Protection District. The equipment will be purchased from Danko Emergency Equipment, and will replace trucks that are each 24 years old. Cordes says the old equipment will be offered to area fire departments.
