City Council Approves Adjustments to Pension Plans
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council held its first meeting in the new city office building last night. The council unanimously passed two ordinances designed to bring police and general employees' pension plans into compliance with legislation approved by the 2012 Nebraska State Legislature. The plans will provide for 40 percent vesting after two yeas of service, 60 percent after four years, 80 percent after five years and 100 percent vesting at seven years.
